Adorable Bears
 It is more than fifteen years since I first started designing and hand making my bears under the Adorable Bears label. I have seen many Bears Artists and Bear makers come and go in that time.However, I am just as excited, by this form of art as when I started and there is rarely a day goes by without some time, or more often many hours, being spent creating a Bear,Panda and more recently a koala. My creations have sold to Collectors all over the world, and for this I feel very honoured. Each time you select an Adorable Bear a little of the love I feel while creating it goes to you and in return I am able to purchase more of the quality materials I work with and continue my passion.
In the past I have attended many Bear Shows in Melbourne,Sydney, Adelaide and rural centres, plus twice attended Shows in Singapore and New Zealand.
In 2004 and 2005 I decided to only attend one or two shows a year.I knew it was time to try to extend my designs. I spent several months researching and designing a realistic Koala then developing some fun character koalas. I have been encouraged by how well these have been received by collectors and have many ideas for both realistic and character koalas to develope in the future.
At the same time I tried several methods of creating an open mouth until I found a method which complimented by 'Adorable Bears'. I loved it when a Collector told my that he just loved the laughing happy faces of my bears as this was just the look I had attempted to achieve.
'Adorable Bears' are created fom my home which is located in Shepparton, in the State of Victoria, Australia. Working from home allows be to also spend time in my garden which is another one of my passions. We are located close to the Goulburn River so several times a week I enjoy a run along the river track. The natural bush is full of bird life .
It is wonderful how these three passions intertwine. Often bears are designed and problems are solved while in the garden or out running.
I know Bears ,plus Pandas and Koalas will always remain a part of my life.They have introduced me to many wonderful people and places and made me smile when, at times, the world has seemed such a cruel and ugly place . When I complete a bear...and they look back at me,as they alway do, I smile. I like to think that wherever my 'Adorable Bears' end up in the world, they make someone else smile.
